WE all expect the iPhone 8 — or the iPhone X, or whatever Apple’s 10-anniversary handset will be called — to be pricey. That’s what we explained in our previous article: Why your next smartphone could be more expensive. But that didn’t stop our jaws from dropping when we saw the alleged prices of the upcoming iDevice.

According to designer and serial leaker Benjamin Geskin, these are how much you’ll have to shell out if you want to take a bite out of the most premium Apple model that will be launched on September 12 (September 13 in the Philippines):

  • Apple iPhone 8, 64GB: $999, or roughly P51,074
  • Apple iPhone 8, 256GB: $1099, or around P56,186
  • Apple iPhone 8, 512GB: $1,199, or about P61,299

Then again, it’s not like we won’t buy an iPhone 8, barring any financial challenges. However, we’ll most likely settle for the cheapest among the three. It would be nice to have 512GB of internal storage, though. That’s more than what our Apple MacBook Pro has! ? And the price is close to how much our laptop is currently selling for, too. Heh.
