LESS than a week after Samsung revealed its first smartphone with a dual-camera system, the Galaxy Note 8, the Korean giant seems ready to announce its second phone with two cameras on the back. This time, though, the device is a midrange product. Say hello to the Samsung Galaxy J7+, from the line that helped the company secure its (second) spot in the Philippines in the second quarter of 2017.

A leak from Thailand shows the phone in all its glory. The Galaxy J7+’s two rear shooters are arranged vertically, and they are said to be a 13-megapixel f/1.7 sensor and a 5-megapixel f/1.9 unit. You’ll find the Live Focus feature we first saw in the Note 8 here, too. In case you didn’t know, Live Focus is Samsung’s answer to Apple’s Portrait Mode, or the function that lets you take photos with blurred background.

The Samsung Galaxy J7+ will support the company’s own digital assistant, Bixby. There’s even a dedicated Bixby key on the left side of the smartphone. No idea which octa-core chip powers this Galaxy, but word has it that we may be looking at the Exynos 7870 Octa, the same processor found in the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017).

Other specs revealed include a 16-megapixel front camera, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with an option to expand it up to 256GB, and a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display. It features a metal unibody design, packs a 3,000mAh battery, and comes with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

No word yet on its price and where it will be available besides Thailand, but we hope to see the Samsung Galaxy J7+ released in the Philippines.
