WE have been swamped with more ASUS ZenFone 4 smartphone series leaks now that we’re THISCLOSE to its official unveiling.

The more recent ones involve what could be the Taiwanese manufacturer’s answer to OPPO and Vivo selfie phones. But the latest is all about the ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro, which is rumored to cost NT18,990 (roughly P31,806 or $629). Lo and behold, the device appears on GFXBench!

Based on the details listed on the 3D-graphics benchmark, the ZenFone 4 Pro is fitted with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip paired with 6GB of RAM. It features 64GB of built-in memory, Android Nougat, a 5.5-inch full-HD screen, 12-megapixel dual cameras on the back, and an 8-megapixel front cam. Check this out.

Considering that we haven’t caught a whiff of any Deluxe model this year and there haven’t been any ZenFone Pro device ever, then perhaps the ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro is the equivalent to 2016’s ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe. Meaning it could be ASUS’ most premium smartphone in 2017.

The version of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe that costs about the same as the leaked Pro — the one that’s priced at P34,995 (NT$20,620 or $680) in the Philippines — packs a Snapdragon 820, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, an Android Marshmallow-based user interface, and a 5.7-inch full-HD display. However, it doesn’t have two cameras on the back, but instead features a 23-megapixel rear shooter. The front cam has a megapixel count of 8.

Now, we won’t be surprised if there will be other ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro variants, as in the case of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. After all, ASUS has always had a penchant for releasing many versions of one phone. Let’s all find out on August 17, shall we?
