The Desire 830, Desire 10 Pro, U Play, U Ultra, and U11, are now available — and at (mostly) reasonable prices, we should add — on Lazada’s local website. That makes things easier for those who are already decided on any of the said models, what with Lazada’s free shipping around Metro Manila and nationwide for a minimal fee. (Correction: The HTC Desire 830 is not yet available, but will go on sale on Lazada soon.)
Now, if you have any questions about these phones, watch the August 7 episode of #RevuLive. At 3 p.m. on that day, we’ll go live on Facebook with HTC Philippines’ Benedict Buhain.
HTC Desire 830 (Price: P8,990 or roughly $179)
This is the cheapest among the handsets that are available here, retailing at P8,990. For the money, you’re looking at a 5.5-incher with lower-midrange internals, headlined by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. It’s also equipped with front-facing stereo speakers for better audio than you normally hear from mobile devices.
However, the kicker lies in the imaging side of things, with the Desire 830 packing a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and a selfie camera that beefs up its low-light capabilities with bigger pixels on the sensor.
HTC Desire 10 Pro (Price: P13,990 or $278)
The Desire 10 Pro is one of the prettiest models offered by HTC (which is saying something), sporting a matte body finish with gold accents running along the edges of the metal casing. The 5.5-inch full-resolution touchscreen and capacitive buttons add significantly to its height and might turn off some potential buyers, though.
Performance is on the “better than usual” scale, thanks to the Desire 10 Pro’s octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 system-on-a-chip and 4GB of RAM. The base storage is 64GB, which should be enough for the average user. The primary camera is 20 megapixels and comes with laser auto-focus for fast and accurate focusing. For selfies, there’s a 13-megapixel camera that supports 1080p video recording.
HTC U Play (Price: P18,990 or $377)
Another midranger — but this time in a compact body fused with metal and glass — the HTC U Play is a somewhat compact phone whose looks are widely praised but come at a relatively steep price. It has one of the best LCD displays in its class, too, and offers decent performance courtesy of a Helio P10 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. You can read more about the Play in our review.

HTC U Ultra (Price: P26,990 or $536)
One way to describe the U Ultra is that it’s the opposite of the U Play in terms of size and handling. It’s an unapologetically massive phone, sporting a 5.7-inch LCD screen and an additional ticker-type display on top of it, which provides a quick and convenient way of accessing your favorite contacts and apps.
The inclusion of a capable main camera and a nippy Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor is another plus for those who want to do more with their smartphone. You can read our impressions of the HTC U Ultra here.

HTC U U11 (Price: P36,990 or $735)
Finally, the U11 is, objectively speaking, the best HTC phone money can buy today.
Squeeze the frame, and you’ll be able to fire up the camera or launch your favorite application, among other quick actions. Whereas the 1440p LCD display is impressively sharp and just the right size, coming in at 5.2 inches.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor runs the show. Paired with 6GB of RAM (on the locally available version), it gives the U11 an upper hand in gaming and multitasking compared to most other premium phones out there. The 128GB of onboard storage, meanwhile, should be plenty for any type of user.
Price-wise, the U11 is less friendly on the wallet and more expensive than some of its peers in the category, but HTC is hoping that bringing in the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will appeal to consumers.
