In separate Facebook posts today, two of the biggest gaming shops in the country have revealed the console’s local price. DataBlitz and GameXtreme are selling two bundles — the Nintendo Switch with Gray Joy-Con and the Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy-Con — at P24,495 (or approximately $486) each.
Why the higher price when the SRP is just $299.99 or roughly P15,100? Besides taxes and shipping fees, you’ll have to factor in the cost of two games that come with each bundle — The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and 1-2 Switch. The former goes for $59.99 (P3,000), and the latter is worth $49.99 (P2,517).

The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console — a mix of the gaming giant’s previous systems to varying degrees, from the Game Boy to the Wii U. You can plug it in via USB Type-C or dock it at home. You can also take it with you to play games on the go.
