Almost exactly a year after the launch of the NOTE 40 Series, Transsion Holdings sub-brand Infinix Mobile is finally ready to announce a successor.
The NOTE 50 Series — which comprises the Infinix NOTE 50, Infinix NOTE 50 Pro 4G, and Infinix NOTE 50 Pro+ 5G — officially launches on April 23 in the Philippines. If you’re quick, you can purchase it first on Shopee starting April 24, before it lands on Lazada and TikTok Shop on the 30th.
Just like last year’s models, the new Infinix NOTE 50 lineup promises to offer fast charging and speedy performance at irresistible price points. Perhaps more notably, the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro 4G, which the company was kind enough to send us for review, rocks an aluminum frame. Seriously, a metal frame on a phone aiming for the budget segment? That’s pretty much unprecedented and definitely makes it stand out.
April 23! Remember the date
We’re told that the 4G variant of the Pro model is expected to retail at under P12,000 (below $212), making it the only metal-clad smartphone in its price class. We’ve got our hands on it and are running our tests now, so stay tuned for our first impressions and whether this version actually delivers on the hype.
While official Philippine pricing is still under wraps, we got a clue from Malaysia. The top-tier Infinix NOTE 50 Pro+ 5G reportedly surfaced there priced at RM1,599 (P20,579 or $361). That’s for the version packing 12GB of actual RAM (plus 12GB extended RAM, making it 24GB total) and 256GB of storage. Since that’s likely the most expensive one in the series, you can start doing the math and guessing where the other models might land price-wise.
