Fresh off a massive leak detailing the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A26, Samsung has officially announced its next Galaxy A launch event for March 2.
While the Korean technology giant is playing coy, simply calling it a “Galaxy A” event, the timing strongly suggests we’ll see at least one model from the leaked trio. Samsung India is already taking registrations for the event. However, those in the Philippines won’t find the same option available, suggesting regional variations in the company’s launch strategy.

Interestingly, the official teaser image only shows two handsets, raising questions about whether all three models will debut simultaneously. It’s possible we’ll see a staggered release, leaving one device for a later date.
The leaked specs paint a picture of a familiar midrange lineup — all three phones are rumored to sport 6.7-inch FHD+ displays. The Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 feature in-display fingerprint sensors, while the GalaxyA26 opts for a side-mounted sensor in the power button.

Initially releasing only two handsets, at least in India?
In terms of optics, all three share a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization. The A56 gets a 12-megapixel ultrawide, while the A36 and A26 settle for an 8-megapixel option. Macro lenses are also present, with the A56 and A36 getting a 5-megapixel sensor and the A26, a 2-megapixel unit. For selfies, the A56 and A36 feature front-facing cameras offering 12 megapixels, while the A26 packs a 13-megapixel sensor.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A56 is expected to run on the Exynos 1580, the Samsung Galaxy A36 on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, and the Samsung Galaxy A26 on the Exynos 1380. RAM configurations vary, with the A56 getting 8GB, and the A36 and A26 offering 6GB or 8GB options.
Perhaps most surprisingly, rumors suggest all three smartphones will launch with Android 15 and One UI 7, potentially beating the flagship Samsung Galaxy S24 to the punch. If true, this could make these midrangers particularly appealing, even if just for the software advantage.
