How to join the ‘Bring Me Color Red with vivo V50’ challenge
vivo only recently dropped the details on its upcoming smartphone, which is co-engineered once again with German optics manufacturer ZEISS. According to the company’s website, the vivo V50 boasts an improved IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, making it a strong competitor to the recently launched OPPO Reno13 Series 5G.
The design remains similar to its predecessor, but with a more rounded edge. The screen now features a quad-curved panel, giving it a sleek and modern appearance. At the top center of the display, you’ll find a punch-hole cutout that houses a 50-megapixel selfie camera. The brand’s Aura Light feature is also back, bigger and better than before.
Turn the vivo V50 around, and you’ll see the familiar keyhole-shaped camera module, showcasing two 50-megapixel sensors: a main camera and an ultrawide one.
Other features from the landing page include a massive 6,000mAh battery, Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15, and some advanced AI and camera features borrowed from the vivo X200 Pro. However, the company hasn’t confirmed the processor and charging speed yet. Rumor has it that the vivo V50 will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 5G chipset, though.
Sit back and relax — the official launch date should be announced anytime soon.
