TECNO‘s been quite busy lately. Not only did the company just drop the TECNO PHANTOM V Flip2 5G, but it also stealthily launched a new tablet in the Philippines, the TECNO MEGAPAD 11.

This isn’t some high-end productivity machine, though. It’s all about entertainment this time around, and the brand’s aiming to deliver it at a price that won’t burn a hole in your wallet.

In the Philippines, the MEGAPAD 11 comes in two storage configurations — 128GB and 256GB — both with 8GB of physical RAM. The tablet starts at just P9,999 (about $172) for the base model, while the higher-end 256GB variant costs P10,999 ($190).

For a limited time, though, you can get the TECNO MEGAPAD 11 for even less. Until December 12, the 128GB model is going for only P7,699 ($133), while the 256GB variant will set you back P8,199 ($141). Your color options are Vitality Green and Starfall Grey.

As for the specs, the device lives up to its name with a spacious 11-inch display. It’s not just big. The brand has also thrown in an  FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate for reasonably sharp visuals and smooth scrolling.

While the bezels aren’t exactly razor-thin, with the tablet sporting an 83% screen-to-body ratio, TECNO claims the display can pump out up to 440 nits of brightness. That should be decent enough for indoor use, but we’ll have to see how it fares in direct sunlight. And of course, you get the usual eye-comfort features like a blue light filter and dark mode.

But a big screen needs big sound, right? TECNO seems to agree, equipping the MEGAPAD 11 with a quad-speaker setup. They’re even touting Dolby Atmos support and “five-magnet speakers” that supposedly deliver “rich, expansive sound.” We’re always skeptical of audiophile buzzwords, but hey, we’ll give the TECNO MEGAPAD 11 the benefit of the doubt for now.

Driving this entertainment machine is a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, which should handle everyday tasks and casual gaming just fine. On the software front, you get the company’s own Android 14-based skin.

Finally, there’s the battery. With an 8,000mAh capacity, TECNO says the MEGAPAD 11 can last up to 71 days on standby. More realistically, you can expect around 15 hours of video playback. Not too shabby. And when you do need to top up, there’s 18-watt fast charging via USB-C.
