Lenovo held its CoPilot Plus launch event in the Philippines earlier today, where the world’s top PC vendor unveiled its latest portfolio of consumer products for the local market, all armed with the company’s AI-powered technologies.
Its new lineup includes the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, Yoga Pro 7, IdeaPad Slim 5x, and IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1. But this unveiling isn’t just about throwing faster chips and better screens at the wall — though there’s plenty of that, too. Lenovo is betting big on AI as the key differentiator, promising a smarter, more personalized computing experience for its users.
So, what exactly does that mean? Lenovo is pushing CoPilot Plus as a way to enhance productivity, creativity, and adaptability across the board, benefiting everyone, from students and professionals to casual users and creatives. Imagine smarter workflows, AI-powered assistance for creative tasks, and a laptop that learns and adapts to your needs. It’s a bold claim, and we’re eager to see how it plays out in real-world usage.
And, yes, we asked: Lenovo assures us that many of these AI-powered features will eventually trickle down to older models. However, the rollout will depend on your device’s specific hardware. So, if you own a slightly older Lenovo laptop, don’t despair — your AI-powered future might not be that far off.
Anyhow, in case you’re interested, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, Yoga Pro 7, IdeaPad Slim 5x, and IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 are now available at authorized retailers across the Philippines. Here’s a closer look at what each product brings to the table.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition
Lenovo’s new Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition is aimed squarely at creative professionals. With its sleek design, vibrant screen, and powerful internals, it’s clearly gunning for the likes of the Apple MacBook Pro. One of the major attractions here is the 15.3-inch 2.8K PureSight Pro IPS display with 500 nits of brightness and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition is packing some heat courtesy of Intel’s latest Core Ultra 7 258V, which boasts a hybrid architecture, combining performance-focused P-cores that can turbo boost up to an impressive 4.8GHz with four low-power efficient cores for everyday tasks. Paired with a whopping 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM integrated directly onto the CPU package, this machine is primed for multitasking and demanding creative workloads.
In the Philippines, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition has a suggested retail price of P103,995, or roughly $,1774 converted.
Lenovo Yoga Pro 7
Lenovo’s Yoga line has always been synonymous with flexibility and portability, but the new Yoga Pro 7 with an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor might just redefine what a professional laptop can be. This machine is all about packing serious horsepower into a sleek and portable package.
That said, the star of the show is undoubtedly AMD’s Ryzen 7 8845HS, a chip that’s ready to rumble with Intel’s best, capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance. With 8 cores and 16 threads clocked up to a blistering 5.1GHz, this processor is built for heavy lifting. Whether you’re editing a 4K video, compiling code, or juggling a dozen tasks, the Yoga Pro 7 should handle it with relative ease.
Lenovo isn’t just relying on raw processing power. The Yoga Pro 7 also boasts a nice14.5-inch IPS display with up to 3K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the graphics front, the laptop doesn’t disappoint, offering up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 with 6GB GDDR6 memory in the Philippines. Obviously, this isn’t a top-of-the-line graphics card, but it’s more than enough to handle demanding games and accelerate creative workflows.
The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 is priced at P100,995 ($1,723) at local retail.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x and Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1
Both the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x and IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 laptops dare to be different. While most of its rivals are content with the usual Intel and AMD fare, these machines take a gamble on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus. Unlike the competition, this ARM-based processor is built on a 4nm process, making it incredibly power-efficient. Lenovo claims its newest IdeaPads can achieve multi-day battery life, which, if true, would be a game-changer for users who are constantly on the go.
Beyond battery life, the Snapdragon X Plus also boasts integrated 5G connectivity. This means you can stay connected to the internet virtually anywhere, without relying on Wi-Fi hotspots. For digital nomads and frequent travelers, this could be a major selling point.
The difference between the two models? As the name suggests, the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 has a screen that can rotate 360 degrees, transforming the device into a tablet or tent mode and offers pen support with an optional stylus. The IdeaPad Slim 5x, meanwhile, is your standard laptop form factor, featuring a traditional clamshell design with a hinge connecting the display and keyboard.
Locally, the IdeaPad Slim 5x and IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 cost P71,995 ($1,228) and P67,995 ($1,160), respectively.
