HONOR today announced a new smartphone in the Philippines. This time, the former Huawei sub-brand has set its sights on the entry-level market anew, announcing the HONOR X6b on the local market at a discounted price for a limited time.
The device carries a suggested retail price of P6,999 (around $125) locally, but early adopters can purchase it for only P5,999 ($107) until September 19. For bigger savings, we suggest swinging over to the brand’s official Shopee store on September 9, so you can get the HONOR X6b for just P5,399 ($96). You even have a chance to get it for as low as P1 ($.018) during the HONOR 9.9 Super Shopping Day Piso Sale on the said e-commerce platform.
Want to go the “try before you buy” route and experience the X6b firsthand before you part with your hard-earned cash? You can visit one of the company’s partner retailers nationwide for a hands-on demo. Plus, from September 20 onwards, those who purchase the phone at participating retailers will receive a free pair of HONOR Earbuds 2 worth P1,299 ($23).
Early-bird promo for the Philippine market
As with the other “viral” X series models, the X6b is marketed as a durable unit, having received a “five-star overall drop resistance certification” from Switzerland’s SGS.

Tough as nails?
Under the hood, you’ll find a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 processor from 2020 paired with dual-core Mali-G52 graphics. The Philippine variant also comes in a single configuration with 6GB of physical RAM and 128GB of internal storage, providing ample space for your apps and files.
The HONOR X6b boasts a 6.56-inch TFT display with HD+ resolution and a reasonably smooth 90Hz refresh rate for a more responsive user experience. The screen likewise reaches a peak brightness of 780 nits, potentially making it legible even in bright outdoor conditions.
Keeping the lights on is a substantial 5,200mAh battery that supports 35-watt wired charging. And when it comes to capturing memories, the HONOR X6b features a capable 50-megapixel camera on the back, ready to deliver decent photos and videos for social media.
Rounding out the specs is HONOR’s MagicOS 8.0, a custom overlay based on Android 14, bringing a host of features and optimizations to the table, including the Dynamic Island-like Magic Capsule notification system.
