OPPO is expanding its A series with the September 3 launch of the OPPO A3 in the Philippines. Designed for everyday use, the smartphone offers a combination of durability, performance, and affordability.

The OPPO A3 comes in Starlight White, Starry Purple, and Sparkle Black colors and will soon be initially available on the brand’s flagship stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.

Built to last, the device features U.S. Military Grade Shock Resistance and a 5-star rating for overall drop resistance in a performance test conducted by SGS. That military-grade durability gives you the freedom to use your phone without worry, whether you’re commuting, working, or relaxing.

That superior durability is further evidenced by its industry-leading Splash Touch technology and Multiple Liquid Resistance, ensuring protection against accidental spills and exposure to water.

OPPO Philippines announces the OPPO A3’s launch date

The OPPO A3 boasts a 6.67-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a max brightness of 1,000 nits under sunlight. It also includes a 50-megapixel main camera at the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Inside, the unit packs a 5,100mAh battery that supports 45W SUPERVOOC 2.0 fast charging. OPPO claims the battery can maintain at least 80% of its original capacity after four years of use.

Interestingly, the company has equipped the A3 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 4G paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB eMMC 5.1 storage. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 is a new chipset. In fact, not much is known about it, nor do we know of any other manufacturer using the processor. Its website listing confirms it’s built on an 11nm process node and comes with all the best features from the Snapdragon 662, a processor released way back in 2020.

That doesn’t sound promising, but hey, perhaps OPPO can pull off something special here and surprise us.
