We’re back in the Smart Amazing Phone era.

Smart Communications has officially launched the Smart ZTE Blade A75 5G, a result of its team-up with ZTE to make 5G accessible to all Filipinos.

Priced at only P5,450 ($96) for the prepaid kit, the device is the telecommunications giant’s most affordable 5G smartphone. The kit already includes 5GB of data allowance, 300 texts, and 30 minutes of calls. You’ll also enjoy unlimited TikTok and text for seven days, once a month for three months. Smart’s other prepaid offers, like Power All, Magic Data, and Unli Data, provide more data options.

To make the Smart ZTE Blade A75 5G even more accessible, the telco is offering six months installment with 0% interest. This means you can pay just P908.33 ($16) per month for six months. The device will be available at Smart’s online and offline stores as well as partner retailers nationwide.

If you prefer a postpaid plan, Smart Postpaid’s Plans+ 999 offers Unli 5G, Unlimited AllNet Calls and Texts, Unlimited AllNet Landline Calls, and 20GB of data and entertainment perks, among other inclusions.

At the Smart ZTE Blade A75 5G launch

On paper, the Smart ZTE Blade A75 5G packs a punch for its price. It features a large 6.6-inch 120Hz LCD screen, a decent 5,000mAh battery, and a promising 50-megapixel main camera. There’s DTS Audio technology here for superior volume and sound quality. Under the hood is a 6nm Unisoc T760 chipset that delivers 5G speeds and smooth performance thanks to Mali-G57 graphics and UFS 3.1 storage — a rare find in the budget segment, let alone in this price range.

While we haven’t had a chance to fully review it yet, the phone sure looks promising. Its design, reminiscent of the ZTE nubia Focus, is sleek and modern. We’re hopeful that the software experience will match its impressive hardware. Still, Smart deserves credit for bringing this affordable 5G device to the Philippines, offering consumers a great value proposition.

“In the same way that Smart ushered in the massive adoption of GSM and LTE technology through budget-friendly offers, we now want to bring 5G to all Filipinos so they can level up their mobile experience,” said Smart Consumer Wireless Business head Alex Caeg at a press briefing.

Caeg added: “Price remains the biggest barrier for many Filipinos to upgrade to a 5G smartphone. We aim to break that barrier with the Smart ZTE Blade A75 5G, which is quite a steal considering its features and inclusions. Now, there’s no more reason to hold off upgrading to a 5G device and enjoying a differentiated experience in terms of ultrafast speeds, reliable coverage, and ultralow latency.”
