realme is back at it. Fresh off the heels of the realme GT 6 launch, the brand is teasing another smartphone for the local market, the realme 13 Pro Series 5G.

(Update, August 28: The realme 13 Pro Series 5G is now available in the Philippines!)

(Update, August 21: realme has revealed the launch date of the realme 13 Pro Series 5G in the Philippines!)

While details are still a bit hazy, the lineup is officially on its way to the Philippines, as confirmed by a social media post and a press release. We’re expecting a full-blown online launch event soon, complete with all the bells and whistles.

Expect two new models from the brand, with both the standard realme 13 Pro 5G and the beefier realme 13 Pro Plus 5G rumored to make an appearance. If you’re into your phones looking as good as they perform, you might want to pay attention.

Visually, both devices have taken a page out of the works of French painter and founder of impressionism painting Claude Monet, featuring a brushstroke-inspired design that’s as eye-catching as it is elegant. Choose from Emerald Green, Monet Gold, or the standard-model-exclusive Monet Purple.

Under the hood, the two handsets promise smooth scrolling with a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display shielded by a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Powering the realme 13 Pro Series 5G is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor.

Where things get interesting is in the camera department. The realme 13 Pro 5G packs a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrawide. Its selfie shooter comes in at 32 megapixels. The Pro Plus version takes things up a notch with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-701 main sensor, an additional 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and the same 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter. Both main and telephoto lenses on the latter are equipped with OIS for blur-free shots and sharper low-light images.

realme has also hyped up its Hyperimage Plus AI system, promising smarter, better photos. We’re eager to see if it lives up to the hype. Pricing is still a mystery for the Philippine market, but in India, the base model starts at ₹26,999 (around P18,905 or $322) for the unit with 8GB of physical RAM and 128GB of storage, while the Pro Plus variant is priced from ₹32,999 (P23,106 or $394) for the base 8GB/256GB configuration.

Stay tuned for more details on specs, price, and availability in the Philippines, as the local launch date could be announced anytime soon.
