Another month, another set of rankings from Antutu.
The benchmarking platform has released its performance rankings in China for July 2024, listing the top-performing Android smartphones in the flagship and sub-flagship space. Did the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro and OnePlus Ace 3V still rule in their respective categories? Let’s take a look at the results.
Top 10 flagship smartphones
Last month’s performance rankings introduced a new champ in the premium category. The RedMagic 9S Pro Plus, which debuted as the first phone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with higher clock speeds, took the crown with a whopping average monthly benchmark score of 2,182,401. Former No. 1 ROG Phone 8 slipped to fourth place, behind the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro and Xiaomi’s Redmi K70 Ultra or Extreme Edition.
It was a tie between Qualcomm and MediaTek in this segment, indicating that the latter is serious in staying ahead of the curve. Five are equipped with chipsets from the American chip manufacturer — all variations of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 — and the other five use the Taiwanese company’s Dimensity 9300 Plus and Dimensity 9300.
Top 10 sub-flagship smartphones
The Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3-based OnePlus Ace 3V retained its top position in the sub-premium segment with an average monthly Antutu benchmark score of 1,425,372, well ahead of second-placer realme GT Neo6 SE, which got 1,371,721 points.
Like in the the flagship category, five handsets powered by Qualcomm processors — Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, and Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2, in particular — entered the top 10 list. The rest rely on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300-Ultra, Dimensity 8200, and Dimensity 8100-Max.
