Another smartphone joins the realme 12 family on the local market.

The realme 12 5G has landed in the Philippines, initially available exclusively on TikTok Shop with a limited-time discount, plus freebies, including a TechLife 4.5L See-Through Air Fryer and a set of realme Buds T100 earphones. Locally, the phone is priced at P14,999 (roughly $260) for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

This makes it significantly cheaper than the realme 12 Pro Plus 5G and realme 12 Plus 5G, which will run you P25,999 ($450) and P17,999 ($312), respectively.

The realme 12 5G goes on sale starting today, April 25, on TikTok Shop, but you can also buy the device with freebies online through partner retailers on Lazada and Shopee from May 5 until the 10th.

Additionally, those who purchase the realme 12 5G at any realme store nationwide during the first selling period from April 26 to May 5 for a limited-time discounted price can win exciting TechLife and realme products via a Mystery Gift Box, which includes items worth up to P24,999 ($433).

Some of the stuff up for grabs include the 4GB/64GB version of the realme Pad LTE, TechLife Notebook, TechLife Multi-Capsule Coffee Maker, TechLife Wireless Headphones, TechLife Desk Lamp, and TechLife Portable Steam Iron.

In terms of hardware, the realme 12 5G looks like a clone of the realme 12 Plus 5G and sports the same watch-inspired circular camera module and zipper-like design accent that runs vertically down the center of the rear panel.

Inside, the phone is powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 6100 Plus 5G chipset, making it the first device on the market with the said SoC. This chip is built on TSMC’s efficient 6nm process and offers Mali-G57 MC2 graphics, just like MediaTek’s wildly popular Helio G99. In fact, the two share a lot of similarities with one another, including two Cortex-A76 performance cores running up to 2.2GHz and support for 120Hz displays.

The realme 12 5G is also equipped with a 108-megapixel main image sensor with 3x in-sensor zoom and a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 45 watts out of the box. Rounding out the specs is a 6.72-inch 120Hz display with a punch-hole cutout for the 8-megapixel selfie camera.
