(Update, April 3: The realme GT Neo6 SE’s full design is finally revealed!)
At a briefing it organized with electronics-component manufacturer BOE Technology, realme announced that the realme GT Neo6 SE will arrive with something that has never been introduced before — a screen with a whopping 6,000 nits of local peak brightness and Greenfield AI active eye-protection function that should prove useful even to gamers.
The panel boasts 1,600 nits of global maximum brightness and allows users to adjust brightness manually up to 1,000 nits. Take note that the current smartphone with the brightest display at 5,000 nits is the HONOR Magic6 Pro, which debuted at MWC [Mobile World Congress] 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.
The realme GT Neo6 SE’s screen likewise uses 8T LTPO technology and BOE S1 luminescent materials. It supports Pro-XDR ultra-high dynamic function, a refresh rate that can anywhere between 0.5Hz and 120Hz, 3+1 Pulse low-frequency flicker, 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 2,500Hz instantaneous touch-sampling rate.
Expect also a panel that has a 1.5K resolution, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 94.2% screen-to-body ratio, and bezels as narrow as 1.36mm.
Needless to say, the realme GT Neo6 SE is one worth looking forward to in the display department. Not that it’s lacking in other areas. It is, after all, confirmed to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 processor, which introduces on-device AI processing, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and a Cortex-X4 CPU core — a first for the series. Recall that the said chipset debuted on the OnePlus Ace 3V just a few days ago.
