Infinix Mobile has released the Pro member of its SMART 8 series in the Philippines, less than a week after it announced the NOTE 40 lineup on the global stage.
Announced early this year, the Infinix SMART 8 Pro with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is rolled out to local stores with a P4,999 (roughly $89) suggested retail price.
The smartphone is almost the same as its non-Pro version. It arrives with a 6.6-inch 90Hz screen that features Magic Ring, which shows updates like charging information and voice calls. It also comes with a 200% Super Volume mode with DTS Processing; a 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 10 watts of charging; a side-mounted fingerprint sensor; and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The difference between the two handsets? The SMART 8 Pro is equipped with a different chipset and camera system. The newly available Infinix model is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset instead of the Unisoc T606 SoC that is inside the SMART 8. And the 13-megapixel main rear camera is replaced with a 50-megapixel one.
