(Update, March 1: We now know the launch date of the realme 12 Series 5G. Here, we share our first impressions of the smartphones!)
The brand has announced that the realme 12 Series 5G will be released in the country. Recall that it debuted the realme 12 Pro Plus 5G and realme 12 Pro 5G globally in January and is expected to unveil the realme 12 Plus 5G and realme 12 5G.
While we don’t know if the company will bring any or both of the Pro versions locally, it has confirmed that the realme 12 Plus 5G will be one of those that will go official here. The “Plus” in the model name, realme says, signifies the manufacturer’s “commitment to providing ultimate value within the midrange smartphone segment.”
For the said device, realme partnered with Chilean Oscar-winning cinematographer Claudio Miranda to create three image-enhancement filters that are inspired by his award-winning films. Needless to say, the realme 12 Plus 5G promises to deliver impressive photography results.
And then there’s the design. As with its Pro siblings, the Plus variant of the non-Pro unit apparently still incorporates some design elements of luxury watches.
Earlier leaks showed that the realme 12 Plus 5G has a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization from Sony. It’s likewise said to come with a 5,000mAh battery with 67-watt fast charging, support for NFC, and Android 14-based realme UI 5.
Tune in to the brand’s official Facebook page on February 29, where it’s expected to reveal the exact launch date of the realme 12 Series 5G.
