It’s confirmed: Xiaomi‘s current flagship series, which is available only in China at this time, will get its global unveiling February 25.
(Update, March 6: Here’s our review of the Xiaomi 14!)
That’s a day before the Mobile World Congress 2024 opens its gates to the public in Barcelona, so the Xiaomi 14 series international launch will surely be held in Spain. That was the case last year.
Recall that the HyperOS-based Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 debuted as the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 5G smartphones and were introduced to the Chinese market last quarter. We’re still not sure if both models will hit the stage end-February; there’s a rumor saying only the non-Pro version will be released outside China.
However, it’s highly likely that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be the star of the show. Just look at the image teaser. The circular element there could refer to the camera module of the Ultra variant, which has been shown to have a round imaging island on the back in leaks.
Something grand is coming on February 25th, 2024!

Xiaomi 14 series global launch date announced. The lineup is still co-engineered with German optics manufacturer Leica
Word has it that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra boasts four 50-megapixel sensors. One is said to be the Sony LYT-900 that features a one-inch sensor size and 1.6μ pixel size. And yet another is reportedly a periscope telephoto camera that may offer up to a 120mm focal length, just like the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The most premium in the lineup is also rumored to come with a 6.67-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED screen, a 5,200mAh battery with support for 80-watt wireless and 90-watt wired charging, a 32-megapixel selfie shooter, IP68 water-and-dust-resistance rating, HyperOS, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with up to 1TB of storage.
Hopefully, the Ultra model will be released in the Philippines as well. We’re crossing our fingers.
