The upgraded version of the popular vivo Y27 smartphone is now official in the Philippines.
The vivo Y27s has arrived at retail stores nationwide and on vivo‘s website and its shops on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok with a suggested retail price of P9,999 (roughly $177).
This model gets double the internal storage of its predecessor at 256GB, so you can store more photos and other files on the Y27s. The RAM gets a boost, too, jumping from 6GG to 8GB. Of course, that can still be expanded up to 8GB via the phone’s dynamic RAM extension feature, which allocates some of the unused internal memory to be used as RAM.

The newly launched device likewise features a better screen, which can refresh up to 90 times per second for a smoother experience and reach up to 650 nits of peak brightness, making it a bit brighter than last year’s 600-nit display.
The biggest upgrade can be found inside. The vivo Y27s is now based on a Snapdragon 680 4G processor instead of a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. Because Qualcomm’s SoC is built on a power-efficient 6nm process, it should provide a lot more firepower.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery with Nighttime Charging Protection and support for up to 44 watts of fast charging. There’s a 50-megapixel dual-rear camera setup, an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, and Funtouch OS 13-layered Android 13 here as well.
