Remember HONOR‘s foldable concept phone that made headlines at IFA 2023 in Berlin, Germany? Well, we have good news for you: It won’t remain a concept anymore.

(Update, September 20: Here’s how much the HONOR V Purse is!)

The former Huawei sub-brand has revealed that the HONOR V Purse will be launched in China September 19, or just a little over a week from now. And while there’s no word yet on a global release, we’re hopeful that at least a few units will be rolled out to Philippine stores.

The launch teaser video HONOR posted on Weibo

The HONOR V Purse is an outward-folding smartphone that reminds us of the Huawei Mate Xs 2. But HONOR ups the ante by turning up the fashion dial and making the device look like a handbag, complete with interchangeable vegan-leather straps that allow you to carry it like a regular purse.

The company has even collaborated with folk such as Burberry menswear creative director Bram Van Diepen for some custom Always-On Display wallpapers. Imagine AOD wallpapers that mimic a variety of handbag designs and textures and react to your touches and movements, thanks to integrated sensors that include an accelerometer to help track motion more accurately in real time. And you can actually personalize the two outer screens, allowing you to have different displays on each side.

HONOR V Purse preview, in case you missed it

The HONOR V Purse is confirmed to be 9.9mm thin. However, the brand hasn’t shared the foldable’s other details yet, so we still have a lot of questions left unanswered. Be sure to check back here next week, when the commercial model goes official.

A foldable phone worth flaunting! What could its price be?
