It’s time to shine the light on Huawei‘s newest superstars as they make their way to the Philippines with an official consumer launch on June 21. Meet the nova 11 series smartphones.
No, the Ultra edition isn’t part of the lineup that will go on sale in the country. That model will probably be exclusive to China. The ones that are coming here are the Huawei nova 11 Pro, Huawei nova 11, and Huawei nova 11i. And boy, do they look good and fashionable, especially the Pro version, whose rear is wrapped in what the brand calls “nova Monogram Vegan Leather.” We’ve had our eyes on the latter’s green color variant since its debut in April.

Both the Huawei nova 11 Pro and nova 11 sport a camera system on the back that pairs a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens that can also take macro shots when needed.
The two phones boast a selfie camera with a high megapixel count of 60 megapixels as well. However, the Pro gets an additional sensor — a dedicated 8-megapixel portrait-zoom one for zooming in on videos. That will surely be handy when you’re doing live selling and shooting a makeup tutorial, just to name two examples that content creators can do.
Huawei fitted the nova 11 Pro and nova 11 with a 4,500mAh battery, but you can fully charge the more premium of the two in around 20 minutes when the display is off, thanks to its support for 100-watt fast charging. By contrast, the Huawei nova 11 with 66W SuperCharge Turbo can go from 0% to 100% in about 31 minutes — that’s still fast.
While the regular version features a flat 120Hz screen that measures 6.7 inches, the Pro model brings back the curved 120Hz OLED display and large pill-shaped camera island from last year’s nova 10 lineup. This time, though, the latter is protected by Kunlun glass, which we first saw on the Huawei Mate 50 Pro.
As for the the Huawei nova 11i, the most affordable in the series is equipped with a rear-camera setup that’s headlined by a 48-megapixel sensor. You likewise get a 16-megapixel selfie shooter and a 5,000mAh battery with 40-watt Huawei SuperCharge Turbo.
Just like its more premium siblings, the nova 11i is a 4G device. But the chip that runs the show here is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680. The other two devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. You can compare the trio by referring to the specs sheets below.
