The OPPO Reno10 series, the successor to last year’s Reno9 lineup — which comprised the Reno9, Reno9 Pro, and Reno9 Pro Plus — is scheduled to debut in China on May 24. Recall that the Reno9 never made it to the Philippine market, though things could be different this time around.

(Update, May 24: The OPPO Reno10 series is now official!)

It’s likely that there will be an OPPO Reno10, OPPO Reno10 Pro, and OPPO Reno10 Pro Plus, matching the models from the older generation. And while we don’t know how much the Reno10 will cost when it hits retail shelves, OPPO‘s official blog has shared some interesting details about the upcoming mainstream line ahead of its launch.

In this article, we’ll explore those details as well as the rumors surrounding the smartphone to give you a clearer picture of what to expect tomorrow, when the company finally lifts the veil off the Reno10 line.

One of the key highlights of the OPPO Reno10 is its curved screen, which has been confirmed to support OPPO’s Pro XDR display function. The technology debuted on the Find X6 lineup and adjusts the screen brightness at a pixel-by-pixel level, resulting in up to an 8x improvement in HDR image rendering. The screen on the Reno10 will likewise support a 120Hz refresh rate, to go along with 10-bit colors and a peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits.

Earlier leaks have suggested that the Reno10 may include a 6.7-inch panel with a punch-hole selfie camera, an FHD+ resolution, and an optical fingerprint reader. The display curves into a slim plastic frame, which holds the tapered front and rear panels together. The Reno10 is rumored to be available in black, blue, and gold colors.

The base model will pack triple rear cameras in a pill-shaped camera module, just like the OPPO Reno10 Pro and OPPO Reno10 Pro Plus. The main camera gets a 64-megapixel image sensor, rumored to be an OmniVision OV64B unit, and sits alongside an ultrawide option and a 2x telephoto shooter with a 47mm-equivalent lens. The latter could be equipped with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor, while the ultrawide is said to feature an 8-megapixel sensor made by Sony.

Meanwhile, the Reno10 Pro Plus is expected to upgrade to a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor that supports optical image stabilization at the helm, alongside a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto shooter.

Inside, the vanilla Reno10 is tipped to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset, similar to its predecessor, while the Reno10 Pro might launch with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 5G chip under the hood. The top-end Reno10 Pro Plus, on the other hand, could be powered by the same flagship-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor used in the previous generation.
