realme 11 series now official with $231 starting price

realme‘s popular number series has received an update with the launch of the realme 11, realme 11 Pro, and realme 11 Pro Plus in China.

Dare we say they’re the brand’s most attractive bunch in the number lineup, especially with the use of faux leather on all three models — it makes the smartphones appear more expensive than they actually are. The Pro versions up the ante by incorporating a vertical stripe on the back, complete with stitching. Not that we’re surprised. We’re talking about devices that are co-designed with former Gucci print designer Matteo Menotto.

The launch of the realme 11 Pro and realme 11 Pro Plus also marks the commercial debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 7050. The chipset is based on TSMC’s 6nm process technology and uses an eight-core CPU design with two Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked up to 2.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 power-efficiency cores. There’s a four-core Mali-G68 GPU for graphics, too. The vanilla model, on the other hand, is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6020 processor.

The most premium of the three gets a 200-megapixel main rear Samsung Isocell HP3 sensor that offers 2x and 4x lossless zoom and 20x super zoom, f/1.69 aperture, and optical image stabilization or OIS. The regular Pro sports a 100-megapixel primary camera, while the realme 11 has a 64-megapixel one.

Rounding out the realme 11 Pro Plus’ impressive specs are a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with 2,160Hz PWM dimming, 120Hz refresh rate, 1,260Hz touch-sampling rate, and HDR 10+ certification; a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100-watt fast charging; up to 20GB of dynamic RAM and a whopping 1TB of storage max; and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The realme 11 Pro has a similar screen as the Plus version. The battery is also rated at 5,000mAh, but charging support goes down to 67 watts — still fast. The chip is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. And the front-facing camera has a 16-megapixel count.

The most affordable phone of the three, on the other hand, features a 6.43-inch flat AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits brightness; a maximum of 12GB RAM; 256GB of storage; and support for 33-watt SUPERVOOC technology.

In China, the newly launched smartphones are priced as follows:

realme’s global account has started teasing the latest number series phones, so expect them to be announced for international markets soon. We’re hoping for an announcement from realme Philippines, too.
