Following the launch of the HONOR X9a 5G in the Philippines, HONOR‘s local arm has revealed that it will be launching two new products — the HONOR X7a and HONOR MagicBook X 15 — on the market next week, February 22.
(Update, February 22: The HONOR X7a and HONOR MagicBook X 15 and X14 are now available in the Philippines!)
Neither of these two products are actually new; both have been launched in other markets, and they’re also listed on the former Huawei sub-brand’s official global website. In other words, we know what to expect. Design-wise, the HONOR MagicBook X 15 looks like a rebadged Huawei MateBook D 15 laptop and comes with a fingerprint power button and a hidden webcam as well.
The only major mystery that remains to be unraveled are both devices’ local prices. On a lesser note, we’re not sure about the configuration of the MagicBook X 15 in the Philippines. The laptop is listed with 11th Gen Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors along with 8GB DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of SSD storage. It’s available in Space Gray.
As for the rest of the specs, the HONOR MagicBook X 15 packs a 15.6-inch display with an FHD resolution, 250 nits of brightness, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a screen-to-body ratio of 87%. The display arrives with both TÜV Rheinland low blue-light and flicker-free certifications, too, for a more comfortable viewing experience. The built-in 42Wh battery, meanwhile, can be charged pretty rapidly over USB-C, thanks to support for 65-watt fast charging.
Moving on to the HONOR X7a, the phone is available in Titanium Silver, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black colors. It features a 6.74-inch TFT LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution. On top of the fast display, the battery capacity is another highlight, with the device packing a 6,000mAh cell that supports the company’s 22.5-watt standard.

Under the hood, the X7a is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G37 4G chipset, which includes eight Cortex-A53 cores and PowerVR GE8320 graphics. It runs Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12. The rear camera has a 50-megapixel main sensor alongside a pair of 2-megapixel sensors for macro and portrait shots. Up front, there’s an 8-megapixel camera for selfies.
