If you’re in the market for an affordable tablet with excellent entertainment features for the entire family, Huawei may have something for you.
(Update, February 13: Check out our review and the price and availability details of the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4-inch!)
The new Huawei MatePad SE 10.4-inch is coming to the Philippines soon, with the local price and availability set to be revealed on February 14. The microsite for the upcoming tablet is already live, so its specs sheet is no longer a secret.
As its name suggests, the MatePad SE 10.4-inch will feature a large display that measures 10.4 inches across, which should make it ideal for streaming videos, browsing the web and social media, and split-screen multitasking. Impressively, the screen packs a tack-sharp 2K resolution, too, plus TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free operation.
The screen-to-body ratio is 83%, meaning the tablet’s bezels are reasonably small and translate to a more compact form factor you can easily take with you anywhere. Despite its size, the new MatePad SE is also pretty lightweight at just 440 grams, but the battery is only 5,100mAh in capacity.
And because the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4-inch is aimed at users of all ages and sizes, the tablet has been designed to be extra durable and safe to drop.
You likewise get dual symmetrical stereo speakers located along the sides, as well as HD support on the Netflix and Disney Plus apps.
For smooth and efficient performance, this MatePad SE boasts a 6-nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset that can handle most daily tasks with ease and play casual games. It boots HarmonyOS out of the box and comes preloaded with Huawei Super Device and the newest version of AppGallery.
Finally, there’s Kids Corner, which is an app the company created to help parents kick-start healthy device habits for their children.
We’ll talk more about the Huawei MatePad SE 10.4-inch as soon as it’s launched, so do come back here for our thoughts on the tablet — and its pricing and release details as well, of course.
