OPPO is about to update its A series of smartphones.
The company has announced that it will launch the OPPO A1 Pro on November 16 in China. Even better, it has confirmed several key specs of the handset.
Based on the official teasers OPPO posted on Chinese social-media platform Weibo, the upcoming model is equipped with a 108-megapixel dual-camera setup on the back. The design language — two huge vertically placed camera lenses with a thin strip running from the top to the phone’s bottom — is familiar. It’s a bit similar to the look of two of the most recent releases in the Philippines, the OPPO A17 and OPPO A17k.
The OPPO A1 Pro’s screen is of the OLED kind, supports 120Hz refresh rate, and has passed the professional eye-protection test of the National Eye Engineering Center. It boasts industry-first features, according to the brand. There’s support for 2,160Hz high-frequency dimming, and then there is an ultra-thin bezel at the bottom that measure only 2.32mm — 0.01mm narrower than that of another yet-to-be-unveiled device, the Realme 10 Pro Plus. At the top center of the display is a single punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

And no, the OPPO A1 Pro isn’t flat like many of the A series phones the company has launched as of late. The device has 56-degree curved sides.
Will this model be released in international markets such as the Philippines? We’ll let you know if and when we get an update from the brand.
