The Huawei MatePad Pro 11 is here.
Huawei‘s latest premium flagship tablet has made its way to the Philippines, going up for preorder at offline and online Huawei Stores, authorized retail outlets, and e-commerce sites Shopee and Lazada until September 8. Each pre-purchase comes with a free P6,999 (roughly $123) detachable Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard, P5,999 ($106) second-generation Huawei M-Pencil, and Huawei AppGallery app benefits worth P2,099 ($37).
Think of the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 as a tablet-PC and a portable creative studio. You get an 11-inch OLED Real Color FullView Display with 1.07 billion colors, P3 wide color gamut, 120Hz refresh rate, 92% screen-to-body ratio, 2,560 x 1,600 WQXGA resolution, and TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 3.0 certification for its hardware-level blue-light solution and 1,440Hz PWM dimming. That’s a whole lot of impressive specs and features crammed into the screen alone.

Pair the MatePad Pro 11 with the detachable Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard, so you can use it in multiple scenarios: Laptop mode for when you want to use it as a notebook alternative and Split and Studio modes for when you want to write or sketch on the display more comfortably. Or pair the device with the second-generation Huawei M-Pencil to enjoy drawing, designing, and using features like Annotate Anywhere, FreeScript, and Snippet.
It doesn’t hurt that the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 is thin and light and gets a fingerprint- and water-resistant metallic sheen finish that’s made possible by the new Frosting Processing Technique used on the rear cover of the tablet. And doesn’t it remind you of the Mate series? That iconic dome-ring design is similar to the premium look that the brand debuted on the Mate smartphones.
All told, the MatePad Pro 11, which is priced at P41,999 ($739), comes off as a promising big-screen tablet with plenty to offer professionals and creatives on both the hardware and software fronts. But how does it compare to the similarly priced Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, another pro-grade tablet that offers serious portability and style, to go along with a big and sharp display, seamless multi-window and multitasking features for a PC-like experience, and smart accessories that give you the flexibility of a tablet-PC when required?
