The Huawei Mate Xs 2 takes after 2020’s Mate Xs, boasting an improved outward-folding form factor with a double-rotating Falcon Wing Hinge design that lets you fold the device’s 7.8-inch True Chroma display completely flat. Better yet, the crease running across the middle is less obvious than before, so it doesn’t get in the way of your viewing experience.
The brand has equipped its newest premium foldable with the Huawei Image True-Chroma camera system, packing it with a 50-megapixel main sensor assisted by a 13-megapixel ultrawide option and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens that offers up to 3x optical zoom. There’s also a 4,600mAh battery with support for Huawei’s 66W SuperCharge fast-charging standard, EMUI 12, and Super Device capability here.
On paper, it seems that the Huawei Mate Xs 2 has the ingredients it needs to challenge the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3, arguably the best foldable phone from the South Korean company thus far. But does it, really? We pit the two premium-priced foldable devices against each other in the video we embedded in this article!
