We’re still waiting for the POCO F4‘s global launch date to be announced, but here’s POCO saying that it will unveil another phone come June 16. Or perhaps it will introduce both on the same date. But we digress.

The former Xiaomi sub-brand has revealed that the POCO C40 will go official on the international market more than a week from now. And it has confirmed that the handset is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and a 6.71-inch Dot Drop — aka waterdrop — display.

One of the image teasers shared on Twitter shows that on the the POCO C40’s rear panel is a wide camera module, branding on the upper-right side, and a fingerprint reader. The smartphone will be available in POCO Yellow, among other colors.

POCO C40 design teaser
The revelation seemingly corroborates the leaked render posted here. According to the report, the C40 comes with a JLQ JR510 entry-level chip paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, a 60Hz IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution, 50- and 2-megapixel sensors on the back, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It is said to have a 3.5mm headphone jack and support for 18-watt fast charging and be based on Android 11, too.
The report claims that the device will be priced at around $177 — or approximately P9,365 in Philippine pesos — and will be launched alongside the POCO C40 Plus.
