The lineup is a range of upper-midrange phones that “promises multidimensional performance with turbo speed … at an affordable price tag.” Specifically, the specs are said to be tailored to elevate a user’s mobile-gaming experience.
So which member or members of the series are launching here first? Vivo didn’t mention any models in the press release it sent us, but the devices in the image that it included in the announcement are the Vivo T1 5G and Vivo T1x. Plus, we at Revü discovered that the latter was already certified by the National Telecommunications Commission in April.
Now, take note that what debuted in China is different from the global one, so for this article, let’s focus on the Vivo T1 5G and Vivo T1x that became available in Malaysia; they’re more likely the same as the variants that will be released in the Philippines.
The Vivo T1 5G introduced to our neighboring market is powered by Qualcomm’s popular Snapdragon 778 5G chipset. It features 8GB of expandable RAM paired with 128GB of storage, a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 4,700mAh battery that supports up to 66 watts of fast charging, and Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12. It’s priced at RM1,299 or roughly P15,507 or $297.
The Vivo T1x, on the other hand, comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor coupled with up to 8GB of extendable RAM and 128GB of built-in storage, a 90Hz LCD screen that measures 6.58 inches, a 5,000mAh battery with 18-watt quick charging, and the same Android version as the other handset. Pricing starts at RM699 (P8,345 or $157).
