Antutu has published its latest performance rankings in China for April 2022, featuring the best-performing phones in the flagship, sub-flagship, and midrange categories.

As expected, the top-end list is populated by devices built around Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chipset, with the 16GB/512GB variant of the Black Shark 5 Pro topping the charts with an average Antutu benchmark score of 1,062,747. The gaming-focused flagship from the Xiaomi sub-brand is followed by the Red Magic 7 Pro and Lenovo Legion Y90. The Vivo X80 and iQOO 9 round out the top five.

Interestingly, the X80, which averaged 1,019,921 points, is the only phone powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G chip that made the list. The rest of the phones rely on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform.

Among sub-flagships, the Redmi K50 has claimed the top spot with an average result of 814,032, followed closely by the Realme GT Neo 3. Both handsets use the recently announced MediaTek Dimensty 8100 spec, alongside 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

Devices powered by last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 occupy the next seven spots, although their scores are nowhere near those of the K50 and GT Neo 3. The Realme GT Neo 2T, which uses a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, placed 10th on the list.

Lastly, Antutu’s midrange ranking is dominated by phones with a Snapdragon 778G/778G Plus unit under the hood. The only non-Qualcomm device in the top 10 is the OPPO Reno7 5G, which ranked fourth among mid-tier Android handsets and has a suggested retail price of P26,999 (around $514) in the Philippines.
