(Update, March 18: The 5G-ready OPPO Reno7 series phones have landed in the Philippines!)
The OPPO Reno7 Z 5G will debut in Thailand tomorrow, March 2, and launch in the Philippines alongside the Reno7 5G March 18, but ahead of the official unveiling, the company has already revealed the specs of the smartphone.
According to OPPO’s Thai website, the Reno7 Z 5G relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, similar to devices such as the Vivo T1 5G, Realme 9 Pro 5G, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. The chip is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The emphasis here is still on how you’ll be able to take great portraits with its 64-megapixel triple rear and 16-megapixel selfie cameras. “Unlimited me in portrait,” they say. Determining whether that claim is true should be possible if and when we get our hands on the handset.
There are dual orbit lights here — they light up when you receive a call or a message — and a back that uses OPPO’s proprietary Glow technique. The Reno7 Z 5G is likewise ultra-slim at (at least) 7.49mm and light at 173 grams. Expect also a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 4,500mAh battery that supports up to 33 watts of fast charging, Android 11-based ColorOS 12, and IPX4 protection.
We in the Philippines should get a pretty good idea of the OPPO Reno7 Z 5G’s price once the phone is announced in Thailand tomorrow.
