OPPO‘s next flagship smartphone is coming February 24. The technology company today announced that the OPPO Find X5 series will debut next week. The lineup is rumored to include the standard Find X5 as well as the top-of-the-line Find X5 Pro.

You can catch the launch event when it streams live on OPPO’s official website and its YouTube channel. Just this week, OPPO announced a three-year strategic partnership with legendary camera brand Hasselblad.

Launch-date announcement. Hopefully, at least one of the models will become available in the Philippines

The collaboration will focus on improving the color science on OPPO’s Find X line. You might recall that OnePlus, which sits under the same umbrella company as OPPO, also partnered with Hasselblad for its color science on the OnePlus 9 Pro.

The launch teaser features the back of the Find X5 series, which incorporates an odd-shaped camera island that appears to blend seamlessly into the back of the black and white devices featured in the teasers. The black variant seems to have a matte finish on the rear, while the white version sports a glossy finish. The words “Powered by MariSilicon” are also shown on the camera housing.

Previously, it was confirmed that the Find X5 Pro will be one of the first handsets to leverage OPPO’s in-house MariSilicon X image-processing chip into its upcoming Find-branded flagship.

The NPU has been designed to address “some photography issues smartphone users face while doubling down on enhancing OPPO features for taking that perfect photo and capturing precious moments in 4K resolution.” It should introduce up to 4x better HDR outputs and real-time RAW processing as well on smartphones.

The latest database listing of the supposed global variant of the OPPO Find X5 Pro reveals a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip powering the handset. It has been tipped to boot Android 12-based ColorOS 12 out of the box as well.

Elsewhere, the Find X5 Pro will likely feature two 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensors around the back, same as last year’s Find X3 Pro; a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor for high-quality selfies; and a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display. The Pro variant could come with an IP68 rating for dust and water protection and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80-watt fast charging as well.
