We finally have the date. Infinix Mobile has revealed that its first 5G phone, the Infinix Zero 5G, is scheduled to debut February 8.
(Update, February 9: The Infinix Zero 5G is finally official!)
As in many past unveilings, it seems that Nigeria will get the device first. We haven’t seen the brand announce a date for other markets yet, except in India, where the Zero 5G is confirmed to launch February 14.

It’s actually Infinix India that has revealed more details thus far. There’s their local launch date, of course. Then there’s the OPPO Find X3 Pro-like design, color variants, and number of 5G supported bands of the Infinix Zero 5G. And there’s the chip, which is confirmed to be the MediaTek Dimensity 900. It’s the same SoC being used by another Transsion Holdings brand’s first 5G offering, the Tecno POVA 5G.
The 5G revolution is here!😍😍

The Infinix Zero 5G has been the subject of different leaks since November 2021. Here are the other specs that have leaked out as of February 5: 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, Android 11-based user interface, 5,000mAh battery, 16-megapixel selfie sensor, and 48-megapixel triple rear camera. The screen supposedly measures 6.7 inches, runs at a maximum of 120Hz refresh rate, packs a 1,080 x 2,460 resolution, and has a 480ppi pixel density.
Infinix Mobile Philippines hasn’t posted any Zero 5G-related teasers yet, so we’re not sure if the model will be available locally. We have a strong feeling it will be, though.
