Weeks ago, word got out that Motorola is working on a flagship phone that’s even better than the Motorola Edge X30, which happens to debut the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. Now, we finally have more information on the device.

According to sources of Germany-based WinFuture, the smartphone that bears the code name Motorola Frontier 22 indeed boasts a 200-megapixel main camera on the back. But whether the sensor is Samsung’s Isocell S5KHP1, or simply HP1, remains to be seen. The primary sensor is supposedly assisted by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 13-megapixel telephoto one that features a 2x optical zoom.

It looks like the chip the Motorola Frontier 22 uses is Qualcomm’s SM8475, which might be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. And the said 4nm SoC is paired with 8GB and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The P-OLED screen is curved, measures 6.67 inches, supports DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR10+, and has a 144Hz refresh rate. Inside its centered punch hole is a 60-megapixel selfie camera, and underneath it is a fingerprint sensor. Other leaked specs include a 4,500mAh battery with 125-watt wired charging and between 30 watts and 50 watts of wireless charging; an Android 12-based user interface; and USB-C, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS connections.

While it’s too early to expect the price for a phone that’s rumored to launch in July, at least we now have an idea how the Motorola Frontier 22 looks. Check out the render below.
