Xiaomi‘s POCO brand has promised to #PowerUpYourFun with the global launch of what it claims is “the best-performing smartphone in its class for immersive entertainment.”
The POCO M4 Pro 5G is now official, with a release set for markets such as those in Western Europe and Southeast Asia.
In the Philippines, the 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB versions will become available for P11,990 (roughly $239) and P12,990 ($259), respectively. But if you buy it on November 11, its first sale day on e-commerce platform Shopee, you can get the phone for less; the base model will be priced at P10,990 ($219), and the other variant will sell for P11,990 ($239).
In Europe, the suggested retail prices are set at €229 ($265) and €249 ($288), with respective €199 ($230) and €219 ($253) early-bird prices.
The POCO M4 Pro 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip, which, if your recall, debuted on the Realme 8s 5G. The 6nm SoC includes one set each of Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores with up to 2.4GHz clock speed. The Dimensity 810 likewise packs a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and a fully integrated 5G modem.

There’s a big battery here, rated at 5,000mAh. And when it’s time to top it up, you can use the 33W in-box charger to take it from 0% to 100% in just 59 minutes; the device supports a maximum of 33 watts of fast charging, after all.
This POCO phone’s 6.6-inch screen boasts a 240Hz touch-sampling rate; a dynamic refresh rate that can go from 50Hz, 60Hz, and all the way to 90Hz; and a wide color gamut that supports DCI-P3. You get dual speakers and an X-axis linear motor that offers a haptic touch-like response as well, adding to the unit’s entertainment value.
Camera-wise, the M4 Pro 5G pairs a 50-megapixel main rear sensor with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Expect features such as Night mode, Kaleidoscope, Time-lapse Video, and Slow Motion. Up front for your selfie needs is a 16-megapixel camera.
Everything sounds familiar? It’s because those are the same features offered by the Redmi Note 11, which debuted in China less than two weeks ago alongside the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. It’s just that the M4 Pro is designed a bit differently, retaining the look of 2020’s POCO M3. We’re not surprised. Remember that the new POCO’s predecessor, the POCO M3 Pro 5G, and the Redmi Note 10 5G are tweaked versions of each other.
