It’s not only the Realme Book laptop that the brand’s launching in the Philippines September 23. It will also make a GT series phone official in the country on that date, too.

Yes, we are talking about the Realme GT Master Edition — a product of another collaboration with renowned Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa, the man best known for his work with brands such as MUJI and Herman Miller. Realme, which happens to be the No. 1 smartphone vendor locally in the first two quarters of 2021, aims to disrupt the handset market in the Philippines with this GT model.
Our short unboxing video of the Realme GT Master Edition. The phone is placed in a real suitcase, guys! 😀
And why not? The Realme GT Master Edition’s got both style and performance down pat, at least based on our initial impressions. We have the 8GB/256GB Voyager Grey edition that Fukasawa designed. One look, and you’ll think “luggage” or “suitcase.” You’ll think “travel.” You know, that thing many of us probably did often before 2020 set in. You can watch our unboxing video above. There’s also a Daybreak Blue colorway for those who prefer a more subtle look, by the way.
This device is 5G-ready, as it’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G chip. And you get features such as a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED 120Hz display made by Samsung; a 4,300mAh battery that can be topped up quickly, thanks to the company’s 65-watt SuperDart fast-charging technology; a 64-megapixel triple rear camera; and a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
We don’t know how much it’s going to be in the Philippines, but in China, the 8GB/128GB model is priced at ¥2,399 (around P18,562 or $371 sans taxes) and the version with more storage is selling for ¥2,599 (P20,108 or $402). Stay tuned for the 6 p.m. launch livestream on the 23rd to find out what the Realme GT Master Edition’s local pricing is.
