Firefly Mobile is no stranger to releases aimed at disrupting the Philippine market, and the Firefly Mobile Intense Desire certainly looks the part of a budget smartphone with plenty of value to offer. Never mind that it sort of looks like an iPhone clone, or Meizu phone, encased in gold plastic.
As is usually the case when relatively unknown companies market Android devices, value comes in the form of midrange specs and a fairly large, high-resolution display.
For the P6,499 price, the Intense Desire does not disappoint on both fronts. Powering the phone is a 1.3GHz octa-core system-on-a-chip from MediaTek coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.

The single, laminated panel squeezes 267 pixels into the 5.5-inch screen. Under the enclosed plastic casing is a 3,550mAh lithium-polymer battery that supports fast charging, though Firefly Mobile declined to comment on how fast the battery charges.
The Firefly Mobile Intense Desire is now available nationwide.
