In a surprising move, 2K dropped the first trailer for NBA 2K22 that features cover athletes Luka Dončić, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant, Candace Parker, and Rui Hachimura, depending on which version of the game you purchase and where you buy it from.
Like other trailers for the previous title, the video uses footage ripped from the next-gen edition of the game itself, though it leaves you little to talk about in terms of actual gameplay.
From what we can tell, it looks like contact dunks are still in NBA 2K22, but hopefully are harder to pull off in-game. Oh, and players can dive harder for loose balls now and may even crash into the scorer’s table every once in a while.

NBA 2K22 gameplay trailer
As usual, the game is looking plenty good graphics-wise. 2K made sure to show us the new face scans for LaMelo Ball, Devin Booker, Paul George, Ja Morant, and of course, Luka Dončić. Lakers fans will delight in LeBron James wearing number 6 on his jersey, plus new additions Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony in purple and gold.
Other big off-season transactions (with the exception of Lonzo Ball in a Pelicans jersey) are reflected in the game. Steph Curry somehow looks better this year, too. Overall, the graphics are just about as good as you’ll find in a next-gen title. Like its predecessor, NBA 2K22 is shaping up to be an excellent showcase game for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
NBA 2K22 launches September 10 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Standard Edition is priced at $59.99 (around P2,987) on previous-gen platforms, including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC. For PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users, the game costs $69.99 (P3,484) on the said systems.
