We already wrote about Xiaomi‘s next smartphone in this article: Redmi 10 design, specs, price leaked by retailer. But today, the world’s No. 1 smartphone vendor in June 2021 has finally confirmed its existence.
(Update, September 6: We finally have the Redmi 10 Philippine launch date!)
(Update, August 18: The Redmi 10 has been launched! See its price and specs here.)
The Redmi 10 series will be unveiled soon indeed. Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the global launch date yet, but we are guessing it will be within this August. We expect it to go on sale in the Philippines, too — probably in time for the 9.9 sale? The predecessor, the Redmi 9, was launched locally in June last year, after all.

Post No. 2, just two hours after the first one
The teasers have confirmed some of the Redmi 10 details that leaked out recently. That it will be released in white, blue, and gray colors. That the screen is FHD+, has a 90Hz refresh rate, and gets a punch hole in the upper-middle part for the selfie camera. That the back features a quad-camera setup in a rectangular module with a silver accent, just like that on the global version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro. And that the main sensor is 50 megapixels.
Needless to say, the Redmi 10 is shaping up to be big upgrade over the Redmi 9. “Level up,” as Xiaomi says — and we agree.
Some of the leaked specs that have not been officially confirmed yet at the time of publishing this article include the following:
- an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter;
- a pair of 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro shots;
- an 8-megapixel selfie camera;
- a 12nm MediaTek Helio G88 processor;
- 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB memory configurations;
- a 3.5mm headphone jack;
- a side-mounted fingerprint sensor;
- a 6.5-inch LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection;
- a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18-watt fast charging; and
- MIUI 12.5.
In Singapore, one of the Redmi 10 variants will supposedly be priced at $249 (around P9,289 in Philippines pesos or $184 in U.S. dollars.
