OPPO Philippines previously announced that the company will launch the Reno6 series in the country August 6, featuring the reunion of Filipino celebrities Nadine Lustre and James Reid. Locally, the incoming refresh will include the OPPO Reno6 5G and Reno6 Z 5G. The latter debuted in Thailand July 21.

Though the local arm has yet to reveal how much the new 5G phones will cost, the Reno6 Z 5G is already listed at OPPO’s official brand stores on Lazada and Shopee. And according to the listing, the smartphone will first be offered on the online platform on the 6th, same day as its launch date.

Early adopters can claim a P1,000 (around $20) discount voucher via OPPO’s brand shop and will receive a gift package worth P4,498 ($89). The bundle includes a smart bracelet worth P2,999 ($60) and a wireless headset valued at P1,499 ($30). Additionally, those who rate their purchase (upon delivery) will get a P50 ($1) credit on their GCash account.

In China, the OPPO Reno6 Z 5G’s base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at ¥2,799 (around P21,691 or $432 minus taxes). We wouldn’t be surprised if the Reno6 Z 5G goes for around P23,000 ($458) after taxes here.

To recap, the Reno6 Z 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G chipset. It also comes with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 4,310mAh battery that supports 30-watt fast charging over USB-C.

At the back, you’re looking at a 64-megapixel main snapper, alongside an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The selfie camera is impressively sharp at 32 megapixels. The Reno6 Z 5G runs ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.
