Recent releases powered by a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chip include the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G, Realme 8 5G, Redmi Note 10 5G, and POCO M3 Pro 5G. Now, you may add Honor‘s newly launched midranger to the lineup, too.
The Honor X20 SE 5G has debuted in China with a starting price of ¥1,799, or roughly P13,565 in Philippine pesos and $279 in U.S. dollars. That’s for the version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The variant with a higher RAM at 8GB costs ¥1,999 (P15,078 or $310). It’s currently up for preorder, but should be available for purchase from July 10.
One of the highlights of the Honor X20 SE 5G besides its ability to access the new generation of mobile network is its 64-megapixel triple rear-camera setup, placed vertically on the upper-left side of the back panel.
The phone’s screen is big at 6.6 inches and is punctuated by a punch-hole cutout at the top center for the 16-megapixel selfie sensor. Its 4,000mAh battery supports a maximum of 22.5 watts of quick charging. The power key serves as a fingerprint sensor. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack. The user interface is based on Android 11. And did we say that it looks good and seems perfect for the young?
There’s no word yet on the Honor X20 SE 5G’s global availability, but if the smartphone does go on sale outside China, there’s no doubt it will have Google Mobile Services onboard, too, just like the Honor 50 series (see Just-launched Honor 50 series brings Google back to brand).
