The image above, which was first shared by XDA Developers, was also sent to us at Revü. But today, June 21, Infinix has finally made things officially official. Take a look at the brand’s tweet below.

Ready for 160W charging from Infinix?

Infinix has focused on making youth-oriented devices for emerging markets like the Philippines. The handset shown in the teaser features a curved edge screen and looks like the one pictured together with Infinix’s 160-watt charger. If it is, then it could also be the handset seen in the render below. A bold-looking phone, yes? Daring to be bolder than even Realme, whose “Dare to Leap” slogan on the rear panel of units like the recently released Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro is smaller than the word “Now” on the back of Infinix’s mysterious device.

Xiaomi currently holds the record for the fastest wired (and wireless) charging technology, which can fully top up a 4,000mAh battery in a mere eight minutes. However, the company has not brought to market products with that feature just yet. So who knows? We may just see the newly teased Infinix smartphone on store shelves first.
