We were impressed with the OPPO Reno 5 5G, so we have high hopes for the latest Reno lineup that got its debut in China.

The OPPO Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro, and Reno 6 Pro Plus are now official and are even expected to launch in India in July. Whether the global versions will have the same specs as the China variants is still a question that doesn’t have an answer at this time. Hopefully, we’ll know the details sooner than later.

The new Reno 6 series phones are priced from ¥2,799 (roughly P21,003 in Philippine pesos and $439 in U.S. dollars). You can see the complete pricing information for the Chinese market below:

All three smartphones get an AMOLED screen with a punch-hole cutout housing a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the upper-left side of the panel. The trio also has access to 5G; gets the same memory configurations; features a 90Hz display with a fingerprint sensor underneath it; supports 65 watts of fast charging; and runs Android 11-based ColorOS 11.3.

However, of the three handsets, the regular Reno 6 model has a boxier look, which is made more pronounced by its flat, 6.43-inch screen. It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip and features a 64-megapixel triple rear camera and a battery rated at 4,300mAh.

The Pro versions look more similar and share the same specs, except for the SoC and the camera system. The OPPO Reno 6 Pro Plus uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, the same processor in the OPPO Find X3 Pro we reviewed in March while the regular Pro unit has Dimensity 1200 inside. The Plus variant likewise sports Sony’s 50-megapixel IMX766 as its main sensor (like on the Find flagship again); the OPPO Reno 6 Pro, on the other hand, gets a similar 64-megapixel triple rear camera setup as the vanilla unit.
