Today, May 12, Samsung Philippines’ cheapest 5G phone yet has finally appeared on its online store, a little over a month after it was offered through postpaid.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is now available for prepaid customers for P15,990, or roughly $334 converted. Which is interesting, because the most affordable 5G-ready handset of another big smartphone brand is just a wee bit more expensive, priced at P15,999 ($335). So they’re basically similarly priced. We’re talking about the OPPO A74 5G, which was released just recently, too.

One is powered by a MediaTek chip, and the other makes use of a Qualcomm processor. Which is the better model, at least on paper? Is it the Galaxy A32 5G, or it the OPPO A74 5G? Check out a quick comparison of the two units’ specs below, and see for yourself.

While one can’t give a definite pick unless he or she can thoroughly test the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G and OPPO A74 5G together, we believe that you can’t go wrong with any of the two. After all, Samsung and OPPO are two of the biggest smartphone brands both worldwide and in the Philippines; they already have systems in place, not the least of which are those for after-sales service.
