OPPO, one of the leading smartphone brands in the world, has quietly unveiled two new IoT products in the Philippines that promise to add value to your digital lifestyle in today’s new normal. There’s the OPPO Enco X TWS earphones with ANC or active noise cancellation and the OPPO Band fitness wearable.
Both are already available online at OPPO’s official brand stores on Lazada and Shopee, as well as offline via select concept shops nationwide. The OPPO Enco X carry a suggested retail price of P6,999 (around $145) and are available only in white locally, while the OPPO Band costs P1,699 ($35) and ships with black or lavender silicone bands.
OPPO Enco X
The Enco X are built in collaboration with Danish HiFi brand Dynaudio, having gone through 120 rounds of structural fine-tuning with the company’s largest acoustic laboratory. According to OPPO, this allows the earbuds to “reproduce the rich texture of music.”
The earbuds are powered by a dual-core chip and feature a dual-microphone design for improved noise reduction. They also boast Transparency mode, which lets more background noise in, allowing you to have conversations with other people around you, minus the need to remove the buds from your ears.
The OPPO Enco X are equipped with Bluetooth 5.2, allowing them to be paired with Android and iOS devices. Their charging case supports wireless charging, plus reverse charging from a phone, so you don’t have to worry about the battery running flat while listening to music on the go.
OPPO quotes up to 25 hours of music playback when using the case to recharge the buds and 20 hours of playtime with ANC enabled. Additionally, the Enco X support touch controls on both buds for controlling media and have an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, so you can listen to them in the rain without incident.
OPPO Band
The OPPO Band is the company’s first fitness tracker in the Philippines and boasts familiar features, such as multiple workout modes (there are 12 here), notification sync, 50-meter water resistance, weather report, and continuous heart-rate and blood-oxygen-level monitoring.
The Band packs a 1.1-inch color AMOLED screen that is protected by a curved layer of strengthened and scratch-resistant 2.5D glass. OPPO says it can display up to 50 characters, making it useful for notifications and alerts. You can also use the Band to control your phone to take pictures, or locate it by sound in case your phone gets lost.
