You can already buy the Classic edition starting today, April 10, from these participating dealers. But those after the Pro and Ultimate versions will have to wait until next month to get their hands on them.
We’re told that the freebies for early adopters will only be available until supplies last. The good news is that you can purchase the ASUS ROG Kunai Gamepad and ROG Lightning Armor Case 5 separately for P6,995 ($144) and P2,495 ($51), respectively.
On the outside, all three models look pretty identical, except the ROG Phone 5 Pro and ROG Phone 5 Ultimate feature colored and monochrome ROG Vision rear-matrix displays at the back, as well as hidden rear touch sensors that can act like L2/R2 triggers on a physical game-console controller.
The ROG Vision can display a variety of animations while the phone is charging, if there’s an incoming call, when X Mode is enabled, and more. You will also be able to show custom animations on the device’s ROG Vision display for a more personal touch.
All models in the ROG Phone 5 series boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with 5G; a custom 6.78-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling; triple rear cameras headlined by a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 image sensor; and a 6,000mAh battery that supports 65-watt fast charging.
Be sure to check back here tomorrow, April 11, as we publish our review of the ASUS ROG Phone 5 Classic.
