RedMagic 6 series to go on sale in PH this April

Did the RedMagic 6 series that was launched in China catch your fancy? Don’t worry, it’s arriving in the Philippines soon.

The brand’s official store on Lazada has revealed that its new lineup of gaming phones — which includes the RedMagic 6 and RedMagic 6 Pro — will be sold in the country in April.

No exact date has been announced, but its global website mentions an “April 2 coming soon” date. Guess we’ll get the confirmation March 16, when the series is unveiled globally.

We also don’t know which memory configurations will be available in the Philippines, so we can’t say just yet if the RedMagic 6 Pro model with a whopping 18GB of RAM will be offered locally.

Besides being the first to pack that much RAM, the RedMagic series is the world’s first to get a 165Hz screen. Of course, the internals are impressive on paper as well. We’re talking about a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chip, 66- or 120-watt fast charging depending on the version, a 64-megapixel triple camera on the back, and Android 11.

In China, the RedMagic 6 is priced from ¥3,799 (around P28,312 or $584 converted) while the RedMagic 6 Pro starts at ¥4,399 (P32,782 or $676). The latter with a transparent case is priced as low as ¥5,599 (P41,725 or $861).
